Strategic MoU Unveiled with Focus on Leisure, Business Travel & Launch of Premium ‘IndiGo Stretch’ Service

IndiGo and Singapore Tourism Board Sign Landmark MoU

In a significant move to enhance cross-border tourism and connectivity, IndiGo Airlines has partnered with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to promote Singapore as a top travel destination for Indian tourists. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in July 2025, marking a first-of-its-kind alliance for both organizations.

Key Objectives of the Partnership

  • Boost Indian outbound tourism to Singapore
  • Promote Singapore as a leading leisure and business hub
  • Leverage IndiGo’s extensive network across India
  • Launch integrated marketing campaigns targeting Indian travellers

This collaboration aligns with the celebration of 60 years of India-Singapore diplomatic relations and signals a year-long commitment to driving growth in travel demand.

India: A Vital Market for Singapore Tourism

India remains a top-three source market for Singapore, contributing over 500,000 visitor arrivals in the first half of 2025 alone. With strong flight connectivity and a growing demand for leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) travel, this partnership aims to harness and amplify that momentum

Campaign Highlights

Under the new agreement, STB and IndiGo will roll out a comprehensive co-branded promotional campaign, including:

  • Digital marketing and influencer-led content
  • Curated travel packages and familiarisation trips
  • Roadshows and travel trade training initiatives
  • Storytelling around “Untold Singapore” and new itineraries

IndiGo Stretch: New Premium Service Launching August 9

A major highlight of this collaboration is the introduction of IndiGo Stretch, the airline’s premium travel class, launching on Singapore’s National Day (August 9).

IndiGo Stretch Features:

  • 2-2 business-style seat layout
  • 38-inch seat pitch for added legroom
  • Priority boarding and check-in
  • Premium in-flight dining
  • Enhanced baggage allowance

Initially available on the Delhi–Singapore and Mumbai–Singapore routes, IndiGo Stretch enhances the airline’s global appeal while keeping costs competitive.

Data-Driven Personalization & MICE Focus

STB and IndiGo will jointly explore consumer data and insights to fine-tune offerings for various travel segments. Special emphasis will be placed on:

  • Personalized travel experiences
  • Growth in the MICE segment
  • Segment-specific promotions

Expanding Connectivity Between India and Singapore

Currently, Changi Airport operates over 270 weekly flights from 15 Indian cities. IndiGo alone connects 9 Indian cities to Singapore, reinforcing its strategic role in facilitating seamless travel for both business and leisure purposes

Conclusion: A Win-Win for Travel and Tourism

The STB–IndiGo partnership reflects a shared vision to elevate India–Singapore travel experiences, boost regional tourism, and introduce innovative services like IndiGo Stretch to a wider audience.
