The unexpected gesture at the Jugnuma premiere left Manoj Bajpayee visibly embarrassed as laughter broke out on the red carpet.
At the star-studded screening of Jugnuma, Manoj Bajpayee’s upcoming film, a lighthearted moment stole the show when director Anurag Kashyap and actors Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat surprised him by bowing down and touching his feet. The candid gesture caught Bajpayee off guard, leading to a humorous reaction that’s now going viral across social media.
The incident occurred at the media entrance of the venue, where celebrities posed for photos. As Manoj Bajpayee walked in and joined the trio, they jokingly bent down to touch his feet. Anurag Kashyap even appeared to almost bow fully, touching his head to the ground.
A visibly flustered Bajpayee tried to stop them, laughing and awkwardly stepping away — prompting cheers and laughter from those around.
The actors were all attending the premiere of Jugnuma (The Fable), directed by Ram Reddy. Bajpayee looked sharp in a brown jacket and printed shirt, while Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat sported casual looks with denim and black tones.
The screening also saw appearances by Shriya Pilgaonkar, Piyush Mishra, Sayani Gupta, and Kritika Kamra.
About the Film – Jugnuma
The film, set in the late 1980s, follows Dev (played by Manoj Bajpayee), a man who begins noticing mysteriously charred trees on his Himalayan orchard estate. As the fires continue to spread, he is forced to confront buried truths about his family and himself.
The film is directed by Ram Reddy and produced by Pratap Reddy, Sunmin Park, Raam Reddy, and Juhi Agarwal. Executive producers include Anurag Kashyap, Guneet Monga Kapoor, Achin Jain, J Ethan Park, and Ranjan Singh.
The cast also features Tillotama Shome, Deepak Dobriyal, Priyanka Bose, Awan Pookot, and Hiral Sidhu.

Jugnuma is set to release in theatres on September 12.
