- Bollywood actor Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, are contesting a March 21 will, which allegedly grants 100% of Sunjay Kapur’s personal estate to his second wife, Priya.
- Samaira filed the petition through her mother, while Kiaan is represented by Karisma as his legal guardian.
- The children are claiming one-fifth share each of their late father’s assets.
Priya Kapur’s Arguments
- Represented by Mr Nayar, Priya claims to be the sole heir, citing the will.
- She told the court the suit is “not maintainable”, pointing to Karisma and Sunjay’s divorce in 2016, saying: “Where was all this love and affection during their prolonged legal battles?”
- Priya also said that Karisma’s children have already received ₹1,900 crore worth of assets from the RK Family Trust.
Sunjay’s Mother Also Joins the Legal Dispute
Adding to the tension, Sunjay’s mother alleged that she had lost over ₹10,000 crore in assets and is now “left without a roof”.
