Akshay Kumar on Aarav’s Career Choice: “He Told Me Straight — Dad, I Don’t Want to Come”
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has opened up about his son Aarav Bhatia’s future plans—and it doesn’t include Bollywood. In a recent interview with ABP News, the actor shared that Aarav has made it clear he doesn’t want to pursue a career in films or take over his father’s production house.
“He doesn’t want to come in films. He has told me straight, ‘Dad mere ko nahi aana.’ I tell him to take the reins of my production company, but he doesn’t want to do it,” Akshay said.
Instead, Aarav has chosen a different path. He is currently studying fashion design in London and aspires to become a fashion designer.
Aarav Is Focused on Studies, Says Akshay Kumar
The actor praised Aarav’s discipline and dedication to academics, saying:
“He is very much involved in his studies. He has no bad habits. I am more like a friend to him. He is 23 years old and has grown up very fast.”
Akshay also added that Aarav takes after his mother, Twinkle Khanna, who is known for her academic and literary interests.
A Father’s Wisdom: Akshay’s Handwritten Note to Aarav
For Aarav’s 23rd birthday, Akshay Kumar gifted his son a heartfelt handwritten letter. In it, he offered a life lesson wrapped in his signature humor and humility:
“Your father has run around a lot in many scenes in films, I have done a lot of running while shooting also, but the keyword is patience. Everything in life should not be a two-minute noodles. You can’t get everything in two minutes. Slow fire is much better than a two-minute noodle.”
Akshay’s Heartfelt Birthday Post for Aarav
On Instagram, Akshay also shared a sweet birthday message for his son:
“Happy 23rd, Aarav! When I was twenty-three, I was learning to beat up people on screen… it’s a strange feeling now to see you beat me every day—right from tech to fashion to arguments at the dinner table. Dekhte hi dekhte itna bada ho gaya hai yaar tu… You make me feel like a proud sidekick in my own story. Love you beta. Cheers to the best 23 years of my life—because they’ve been with you.”
