19-year-old photography enthusiast on a visit visa reportedly slipped on a rooftop and fell while trying to capture close-up shots of aircraft
A 19-year-old teen from Kozhikode, Kerala, tragically died in Dubai after falling from the terrace of a multi-storey building in Deira. According to reports, he was trying to photograph airplanes when the accident happened.
The youth, identified as Mohammed Mishal, was visiting Dubai on a tourist visa to spend time with his cousins. He had been in the city for about 15 days.
Witnesses say he climbed the rooftop to get close-up shots of aircraft flying nearby, as the airport is close by. On the terrace, his leg apparently got stuck between pipes, causing him to lose his balance and fall.
He was rushed to Rashid Hospital, where doctors noted several internal injuries, but Mishal sadly did not survive. He was described by friends as “talented with an entrepreneurial mind” — he was studying for a diploma in civil engineering in Kozhikode and reportedly discussed business plans in Dubai.
His family is now working on legal formalities to repatriate his body.
