“Help Your Motherland Grow Like Developed Countries” – Stalin Tells Diaspora
Speaking to the Tamil diaspora in Dusseldorf, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin emphasized that economic progress in Tamil Nadu is a shared responsibility.
“You observe how developed countries are. Tamil Nadu too should develop this way. I am sure you think about this more than I do,” he said.
He encouraged diaspora members to launch businesses, however small, and to motivate global companies they work for to invest in Tamil Nadu.
Beyond Business: Preserve Language and Culture
While highlighting the importance of economic contributions, Stalin also urged Tamils abroad to:
- Support education in their native villages
- Assist government schools in Tamil Nadu
- Stay connected to their Tamil identity, language, and culture
“Don’t forget your roots, don’t forget your Tamil language and people,” he reminded the audience.
Germany Leg of the Tour: Investment, MoUs & Bilateral Talks
- MK Stalin arrived in Dusseldorf on August 30 as part of an eight-day tour.
- He is set to announce key investment partnerships and MoUs in Germany.
- A high-level meeting with North Rhine-Westphalia’s Minister-President Hendrik Wüst is scheduled to strengthen ties between Germany’s and India’s most industrialised states.
