Spotlight on the Mahindra Thar
The Mahindra Thar, launched in 2010, became popular for its rugged design and off-road capabilities.
- Five-door Thar Roxx price range: ₹13 lakh – ₹23 lakh
- Often features in social media reels and off-roading videos
However, the SUV has also been linked to rash driving incidents, including those recorded for viral content.
Recent Reckless Driving Incidents Involving Thar
- Last week: Video from Gurugram showed a young woman sitting on the roof of a moving Thar, filming herself.
- Last month: In Jammu, CCTV footage captured a Thar ramming into a scooter and then reversing over it, causing serious injuries.
The Chanakyapuri crash has once again raised questions about reckless driving, the dangers of stunt filming on public roads, and the need for stricter enforcement of traffic laws.
