- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 184 Type-VII flats for Members of Parliament in New Delhi.
- Each flat is approximately 5,000 sq ft and designed so MPs can comfortably work from home.
Key Features of the Flats:
Seven rooms in every flat, each with an attached bathroom.
Includes two staff quarters, a puja room, drawing room, dining room, and a family lounge.
Equipped with modular wardrobes, balconies for all rooms and offices.

Modular kitchens come with stoves and chimneys.
Comes with modern amenities: video door phones, Wi-Fi, cable TV, telephones, piped gas, and RO water.
The complex also has shops, a community hall, guest rooms, gym, canteen, dispensary.
Parking space for 612 vehicles across two basements.

CCTV security, power backup, ATMs, public toilets available.
The entire complex cost ₹646 crore, commissioned in January 2022 and built as earthquake-resistant, disability-friendly housing.
Background & Launch Event:
PM Modi officials said each flat’s layout enables MPs to both live and work comfortably.
Flats are built using modern Type-VII design, with provisions for offices and staff access.

The inauguration event was attended by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Ministers Manohar Lal Khattar and Kiren Rijiju.
PM Modi even planted a sindoor plant, and met the construction laborers, praising their efforts.
