"Saw Them Putting Papa’s Body In Drum": Son of Man Killed by Wife, Her Lover

8-year-old becomes key witness in Rajasthan murder case after witnessing his mother and her alleged lover stuff his father’s body into a water drum.

Murder Shocks Alwar: Victim Found Rotting in Drum

In a bone-chilling murder case from Rajasthan’s Alwar, an 8-year-old boy has emerged as a key witness after his father was allegedly killed by his own wife and her lover, then stuffed into a water drum in the kitchen of their rented home.

The body of Hansraj, a brick kiln worker from Uttar Pradesh, was discovered in a sealed blue water drum after the landlady complained of a foul smell coming from the first floor of the house.

Child Witness Breaks Down Horrific Details

Hansraj’s son Harshal, just 8 years old, witnessed the crime and gave chilling details to the police:

  • I saw mummy and uncle putting papa’s body in the drum.”
  • “That drum was for water… they threw out the water and put papa inside.”
  • “I asked them what they were doing. They said papa is dead.”

What Happened That Night in Kishangarh?

According to Harshal, the events unfolded after a night of drinking:

  • Hansraj, his wife Sunita, and Jitendra Sharma (landlady’s son and alleged lover) were drinking together.
  • An argument broke out; Hansraj allegedly beat Sunita.
  • Jitendra intervened. The boy heard threats from his father before the fatal attack.
  • “Uncle got angry and attacked papa,” Harshal said.

Later, Hansraj was found lying lifeless on the bed, and the next morning the plan to hide the body was allegedly executed.

Child Alleges History of Abuse

The child revealed a disturbing family dynamic:

  • Papa used to beat mummy every day.”
  • “He burned her with cigarettes.”
  • “He beat me too. On August 15, he even attacked me with a blade on my neck.”

This violent history possibly escalated tensions in the household and led to the fatal act.

Salt Used to Hide the Rotting Smell

After the alleged murder, the accused reportedly:

  • Stuffed Hansraj’s body into the drum
  • Added salt to accelerate decomposition and suppress the odor
  • Kept the drum inside the kitchen, sealed and hidden in plain sight

The plan was uncovered when the landlady reported a foul smell, prompting police to investigate.

Murderers Caught at a Brick Kiln

After the murder, Sunita, Jitendra, and the children fled the crime scene and were traced to a brick kiln 50 km away, where they sought work.

  • The kiln owner grew suspicious and alerted authorities.
  • Police arrested both accused based on the tip-off.
  • Children were rescued and will be handed over to their paternal grandparents.

Affair, Abuse, and a Chilling Plan

Police confirmed that Sunita and Jitendra Sharma had been in a relationship for four months. Hansraj discovered the affair, which triggered daily fights.

Frustrated, the duo allegedly planned to eliminate Hansraj permanently.

  • Jitendra is a widower.
  • Sunita allegedly planned the murder with him as a “way out” of abuse and conflict.
  • Harshal mentioned: “Uncle Jitendra helped with my school admission. That made papa very angry.”

Echoes of a Similar Horror in Meerut

The crime is eerily similar to the Meerut “drum murder”, where a woman and her lover killed her husband, chopped up the body, and hid it in a cement-filled drum. In that case, the chilling truth was revealed by their daughter, who repeatedly said: “Papa drum mein hain.”

This case exposes a dark nexus of domestic violence, betrayal, and premeditated murder. While the motive may involve years of abuse, the act of hiding the body in a water drum used by the family—in full view of children—adds a horrifying dimension.

With the mother and her lover in custody, and the young son now a primary witness, police are preparing for a full investigation and possible psychological counselling for the children.
