Actor Shwetha Menon has been booked by Ernakulam Central Police in Kochi for allegedly acting in films and advertisements with adult or bold content. The case has been filed under the Prevention of Obscenity Act and IT Act.

Complaint Cites Movies and Condom Ad

The complaint was filed by public activist Martin Menachery, who claimed that Shwetha appeared in films and ads with inappropriate scenes just to gain popularity and financial benefit.

AMMA Election Twist

This case comes just as Shwetha Menon is a key candidate in the AMMA presidential elections, after Mohanlal stepped down. With four other candidates withdrawing, she is now one of the final two in the race.
