Bollywood/Tollywood star Rashmika Mandanna’s latest film The Girlfriend is showing promising momentum at the box office. The film has crossed the ₹5 crore net mark in India across all languages in its first three days of release.

According to trade trackers, the film earned approximately ₹3.8 crore in its first two days, then collected around ₹2.0–3.0 crore on Day 3, bringing the total to ₹6.80 crore as of the weekend.

A key contributor to the total is the Telugu version, which reported an average occupancy of 37.27 % on Sunday, with seats in afternoon and evening shows performing best.

The film, directed by Rahul Ravindran and featuring Anu Emmanuel and Dheekshith Shetty alongside Rashmika, explores a modern take on love and toxic relationships. She shared on social media how the script moved her deeply, calling her character “mostly me.”

With positive word-of-mouth and increasing occupancies, the film appears to have strong legs if the weekend holds up. Industry watchers say the film could cross the ₹10 crore mark over its first week.
