“The bookie wanted a player to perform according to his strategy and promised at least ₹50 lakh per match,” Chauhan stated.

The FIR was filed by Hardayal Singh Champawat, Regional Integrity Manager of the Anti-Corruption Unit (Central Region), Jaipur, currently stationed in Lucknow.
“We take all match-fixing claims seriously. The investigation is ongoing,” said a senior official from the anti-corruption unit.
