Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma officially announced their separation earlier this year after nearly five years of marriage. The couple tied the knot in December 2020 in Gurugram.

Soon after the news broke, rumours surfaced on social media and news platforms claiming that Dhanashree had demanded ₹60 crore as alimony.
However, her family quickly dismissed the reports as completely baseless.
“No such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered,” said the family in an official statement.
They also urged the media to avoid spreading misinformation and to respect the couple’s privacy.
Lawyer’s Clarification
Dhanashree’s lawyer, Aditi Mohoni, also responded to the ongoing buzz, saying:
“The matter is sub judice. I request the media to verify facts before publishing misleading information.”
