The fatal incident happened on Thursday around 10 pm. Police have arrested two suspects — Ujjwal (19) and Gautam (18) — and recovered the murder weapon.
How the Dispute Escalated
According to family members, the incident began when a scooter was parked directly in front of Asif’s house entrance.
- Step 1: Asif politely requested the owner to move the scooter.
- Step 2: The owner allegedly hurled abuses and threatened to return.
- Step 3: Within minutes, the man came back with his brother, and a violent altercation broke out.
Shaheen Asif Qureshi, one of Asif’s wives, said,
“They stabbed him with a sharp weapon. I called my brother-in-law for help, but by the time he arrived, Asif had lost a lot of blood.”
Asif was rushed to the National Heart Institute in East of Kailash, where doctors declared him brought dead.
CCTV Footage Shows Brutal Attack
Police reviewed CCTV footage that captured the confrontation moments before the murder:
- One accused approached Asif aggressively.
- The two exchanged pushes while a woman tried to intervene.
- The second accused joined in, and the two overpowered Asif, throwing punches and knocking him to the ground.
- Neighbours tried to separate them, but tensions remained high.

Previous Threats Alleged
Shaheen also claimed the accused had previously tried to harm her husband.
Saleem Qureshi, father of Huma Qureshi, expressed grief,
“They killed my nephew over asking them not to block our entrance.”
The police have booked the accused under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with murder. Investigators say the attack was premeditated and linked to an ongoing dispute.
