"AK-47 On Your Chest": Gang Warns Bollywood After Attack On Kapil Sharma's Cafe

Kapil Sharma’s Canada-based café targeted again; Lawrence Bishnoi-linked gang issues deadly threats to Salman Khan collaborators

Second Shooting Targets Kapil Sharma’s Cafe in Canada

Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma’s café ‘Kaps Cafe’ in Surrey, Canada, was targeted again on Thursday — marking the second firing incident in less than a month, with the earlier attack reported on July 10.

The attack occurred just weeks after Salman Khan appeared in the first episode of Sharma’s Netflix series, Season 3, which premiered on June 21.

Gangster Threatens Bollywood: “AK-47 On Your Chest”

In a chilling audio clip, a man identified as Harry Boxer, reportedly associated with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, issued threats to all actors, directors, and producers who collaborate with Salman Khan.

“Any producer, director, or actor who works with him (Salman Khan) will be shot in the chest with an AK-47,” Boxer warned.

He also threatened to kill “small-time” industry professionals working with Khan, stating:

“Anyone who works with him will be responsible for their own death.”

Gang Connection and Previous Threats

  • Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang has repeatedly targeted Salman Khan since the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, due to the Bishnoi community’s reverence for blackbucks.
  • Khan has been under high security cover since a firing outside his Mumbai home in April 2023.
  • Harry Boxer, a Rajasthan native, has criminal cases in India and reportedly immigrated illegally to the US in 2014. He now operates Bishnoi’s extortion activities from abroad.

Multiple Groups Claim Responsibility

Following the firing, several groups associated with extremist networks took responsibility:

  • Goldy Dhillon, affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed the attack via social media.
  • A warning followed: “If Kapil does not respond, we’ll act again — this time in Mumbai.”
  • Laddi Khalistani, linked to the banned group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), also claimed responsibility, citing objectionable remarks about Nihang Sikhs made on one of Sharma’s TV shows.

Cafe Responds to Violence with Strength

Kapil Sharma’s team issued a statement via Instagram after the attack:

“We opened Kap’s Cafe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy… To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock but we are not giving up.”

The café has reportedly increased its security measures.

Mounting Concerns Over Safety of Indian Celebrities Abroad

This incident, along with the growing number of threats from transnational criminal gangs, has raised serious concerns about the safety of Indian celebrities abroad, especially those linked with high-profile names like Salman Khan.

The Indian government and international agencies may now be under pressure to coordinate intelligence and security responses globally.
